Because SolidWorks has a much more user-friendly interface, it is used in businesses of all sizes across the world. Creo is a much more complex program and is aimed at the higher-end CAD market. SolidWorks is a much less complex option and has a quicker learning curve for beginners. The biggest difference between Creo and SolidWorks would be their complexity for users. This helped SolidWorks to initially infiltrate the CAD market, but as of today both Creo and SolidWorks are much closer in price. Please be sure to include what version of the PTC product you are using so another community member knowledgeable about your version may be able to assist.When SolidWorks was first released, it claimed that it could do 80% of what Creo could do at a fraction of the price. Or has somebody a solution for a better import or an after import fix?
I don't know what to do after 7 hours trying to import 2D data.
I have Creo Elements Pro 5 (m170 education). Then I changed some config.pro settings but this didn't helped either. So I guess it has something to do with the import routine. However when I import the sketch there are open lines and overlaps between curves and lines. I tried many things in autocad like closed polylines or blocks. I try to import some 2D data with the option "Data from File".
